The First Patient is an exciting thriller that is full of surprises and captures the intense atmosphere of the White House, how the medical system works, and how the 25th Amendment could be brought into play. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
—President Bill Clinton
Greetings from the coast just north of Boston. A little while back, my son, Daniel, told me I needed a web site. With all the wisdom of some- one who had been on the net, like, three times, I laughed at the notion. Why on earth would I need a web site? Who would ever log onto it? "You'll see," Daniel replied, not even bothering to teach this old dog. "You'll see." Well, after three years or so and countless messages from readers all over the U.S. and, indeed, the world, I do see. What a gas this is! I get the chance to share information about myself and my novels with many people who read them, and I also get much more feed- back than I did when snail mail was the way to go. So, please, take your time, wander about the site, and let me know what you think of it, my books, or the state of the cosmos. I'll do my very best to respond to each of you. Enjoy! — Michael Palmer

THE FIRST PATIENT (Final Cover)"ENDLESSLY ENTERTAINING."

Click here to find out why Publishers Weekly calls THE FIRST PATIENT an "endlessly entertaining thriller" with a "roller-coaster ride of a plot [that] builds to an undeniably shocking conclusion."

Palmer says, "THE FIRST PATIENT, dealing with presidential morbidity, the Twenty-Fifth Amendment, and nanotechnology, is a thriller worthy of the name, with more twists and turns than in any book I’ve written so far, and an ending that is a jaw-dropper. Publication is set for February, 2008—an election year!"
